How our program works
- After choosing your activity and preferred date, you will receive a service contract which you are asked to sign and return.
- A few days before your visit, you will receive a confirmation letter containing pertinent information to best prepare you for your visit. Depending on your chosen program, you may also receive information on a preparatory exercise to be conducted in advance with your students, as well as a teachers’ guidebook that explains in detail each step of your visit.
- The day of your visit, you will be given the invoice corresponding to your chosen activity. You will also receive an evaluation form that we ask you to complete and return, in the interest of improving our services.
- If your chosen program specifies, you may also receive a follow-up activity to be conducted in class with your students after the visit.

A SCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Mount Royal is one of the largest and most important green spaces in the metropolitan region. Easily accessible, the mountain is the ideal location to discover nature and history, or to experience an unforgettable outdoor activity with your students.
The school programs offered by Les amis de la montagne take place mostly outdoors in Mount Royal Park. Students can therefore, enjoy an exceptional site where nature and history meet. Our approach is focused on awakening a sense of wonder in each individual and deepening our overall understanding of the environment.
The programs are geared for all levels: pre-school, elementary school, high school and including day care services. We can also tailor our programs to specific requests at the Cegep and university levels.
We have also created pedagogical kits containing diversified educational material. We propose a variety of recreational activities that furthers the experience of students visiting the mountain. Finally, certain programs can be offered directly in the classroom at your school.
