Two weeks ago, Clément Demers, a member of the Board of Directors of Les Amis de la montagne, was named an Officer of the Order of Québec - one of the highest honours to be bestowed by the  Quebec Government.

Mr. Demers is among the great builders who have contributed to the large-scale projects that are the pride of our city and of Quebec. He is a role model in terms of the time and expertise he has so generously donated to a particular cause - the protection and enhancement of Mount Royal - which helps promote Montreal and provide a better quality of life for millions of visitors and citizens. Les Amis de la montagne is privileged to have benefited from his crucial support for more than 15 years. We are pleased to see that his work has been so highly rewarded!
